Help! - How do I use guitar sounds?

Hi,

I'm using Version 7, and just cannot seem to use any of the guitar sounds in the instrument rack. Am I supposed to be able to put them straight into the MIDI track?

I go to instruments> instrument rack> guitars> guitars and plucked> electric guitars

But NONE of them work. It says link broken when I double click. The same happens with drum rack.

I'm sure I have them on my PC. I downloaded the demo for 8 first but now have version 7, so can't repair library.

Is there any advice for me?

Live 7 can't read Live 8 files. so when you installed the Live 8 demo and put the Live 8 library over your Live 7 library, it updated all the files and Live 7 can no longer read them.

see, now you HAVE TO buy Live 8.

or reinstall the Library. if you have the drive space keep the Live 8 Library in case you end up getting it, might save you some time, maybe.

Ah I see. that's annoying.

I've tried downloading the preset packs for live 7 electric and analog etc.

But no joy.

would that not do it?
