Backing Up older Ableton Files

Post by dan le sac » Thu May 14, 2009 11:08 am

Alright People,

Just wanted to ask how everyone backs up their songs? More to the point how do you all future proof your Ableton files so that if want to come back to a song in 5 years time but no longer have all you pluggins, how do you all keep those files editable/mixable?

cheers

sounds like you'd need to freeze the tracks

or not lose the plugins ;)

Hi,

I save two versions of my older tracks. One normal, another with each track frozen, so that I'll always have the audio to play with if nothing else... That's worked fine for me from Live6 to Live8, but I don't use that many plugins...
