I bet you try to get high by smelling the ink on the PDFs, don't you?

The ring binding is kind of handy to keep flipped open and all, but I didn't like how the little bit of paper inside the coil was always getting gnarled up...kind of surprised I never completely mangled a page and had it fall out, as much as I've opened that manual in the past year.

So anyway, I'm saying I like the new more professional binding, and the smell is almost ditto-machine tasty.

Agreed. The Cubase 5 manual is also nice to get high on ;) All 685 pages of it (plus a 100 page quick start manual) and the plugins document is only on the .pdf ...
Sonar 8 PE's manual is over 800 pages long. I liked the ringbound type too, Live 6 had a ringbound manual.
http://soundcloud.com/umbriel-rising http://www.myspace.com/leedsquietmandemos Live 7.0.18 SUITE, Cubase 5.5.2], Soundforge 9, Dell XPS M1530, 2.2 Ghz C2D, 4GB, Vista Ult SP2, legit plugins a plenty, Alesis IO14.

Logic Pro 8 manual = well over 1,000 pages. It's not a book, it's a weapon. Seriously. MASSIVE. .....and THEN there is the totally seperate instrument/FX reference, another 600 or so page book....

Mine smells like glue and gives me a buzz. It's also black and cool-looking.

Anyone wanna buy a Live 5 manual?
