"It puts me to fucking sleep to be quite honest, I don’t really see the technical merit in playing two songs at the same speed together and it bores me to fucking tears and hopefully with all due respect to the DJ type that will fucking go the way of the dinosaur id like them to dis-a-fucking-pear. It's so middle man, they’re like fucking lawyers. You need them, but they’re fucking cunts. God bless them they’re my number one customer right so I’m not gonna go dis every fucking DJ. But to say you become this massive up on a podium performer by playing other peoples productions at the same speed as someone else's productions and fading between the two of them, I don’t get it."

no such thing as bad publicity, this kind of controversial statement will lead to exponential record sales and kee p everyone talking about him.

All hype and no substance, but the dude is still raking in the coin.

No doubt about it, but most people get tired of crap like that after a while, and decide to move on. Me included.

I think this guy used to be on the FL Studio forums a long time ago. Seems mediocre at best. Gimmicky. But who am I to judge right? At least he's making a living doing something he likes. Did I just have an argument with myself and win/lose?

Fruity Loops creators Image Line had a bunch of Deadmau5 loops and samples on the latest edition of FL STudio, and then added the disclaimer that they were for 'demo purposes only' and 'copyrighted and not to be included in other people's works' which was just unbelievable. Imagine Ableton saying that the audio and MIDI clips that come with Live are 'just for demo purposes only'....

Oh who the fuck cares?

Check out THIS ad. It's Vincent Price trying to explain how easy it is to use a new 3D camera.

Priceless. I've a feeling learning Max/MSP will be like this. muhahhhahaha.

stop talking shit about the mau5. Faxing Berlin is one of the best most tightly produced electro tracks I've ever heard.
He is talented .. fuck all the haters you come up with tracks that are as well produced and that are as catchy as him,
THEN talk.

lol @ faxing berlin.

boring? no

tight sounding? yea sure why not

outstanding? not at all

actually i listened to his whole album with faxing berlin on it and was quite underimpressed and confused at the hype. the album itself is pretty subpar as far as im concerned.

hes written some good tracks sure but hes definitely not as good as justice. and hes certainly no crossover like the chemical brothers were back around 2000

I think Deadmau5 is been unfair when calling DJ's a CUNT just for mixing two records together as being a DJ myself thats one of the most satisfying things about DJ'ing (and making the crowd go wild).

Being able to mix good yourself is a skill and when you can do it its fantastic. Thats why to me Ableton takes the fun/skill out of DJ'ing - I know you can be a lot more creative and produce Perfect mixes but thats like saying your missus's dildo can give her a more intense orgasm but we would all rather use our own penis to at least try now wouldn't we?

DJ'ing on a laptop looks sterile and is about as exciting to watch as somebody texting.

I have a 3 year old son and he loves it when I stand him on a chair and plays on my decks, he used to love the Pioneer CDJ1000's i have with all the flasing lights etc but once I lifted the lid on the Technics SL1200's he now prefers to play with that - the spinnering platter the red off and on switch, the light that jumps up - its more visual, more interesting to play and watch.

The deck is an instrument in my eyes and when a DJ plays the 'instruemnt' people like to watch like they watch somebody play the drums/violin etc.

Mixing - it is a skill and a very satisfying one at that.

With regards to the tunes what Deadmau5 is knocking out, if you are into house/electro house then his tunes are without a doubt fucking supurb, they hit the nail on the head. If his style of music is not to your taste then be quiet - I'm not into classic music but I don't call mozart a cunt.

You don't top the charts on Beatport etc if you are knocking out shite now do you?

So all the people on here dissing him I think its just a big case of jealousy.

Flying all over the world headlining events, getting 5k or is it now 9K per remix?

I bet he's fucking buzzing - well done to him thats all I can say.

If you are on here cussing him - make some tunes and achieve better sales and then give him a good slating - until then go back to your day job.

I hate this whole "omfg in teh chatz = mainstream, no longer good"

That song "I remember" which is quite a good track is in the charts for one reason. Not because deadmau5 is turning into lady gaga, but there was a video made for the song, it was promoted very well and it so happened that it sounded good to the average chart listening.

Producers dont sit down and decide what chart they are going to release their music to. The top 40 or the underground lol :? its all under the same roof.

Popular music is bought and succeeds.

I don't understand the buzz about Deadmau5, because I can't hear something interesting in his music.
I've heard a bunch of tracks and it's just been 'boom boom boom boom' for me... In the club it sounds dope,
At home I just can't listen to this kind of music.

Although I like the new single/videoclip, catchy melody. And it's interesting how everybody talks about him.
Just proofs how important image is (mouse head). (sorry for not being 100% ontopic.)
It's just not my genre
