Wet Autotune

Post by JDemonie » Fri May 15, 2009 6:34 pm

Hi,

I started using Autotune some months ago, it's pretty smooth. But I'm sure I don't get a 100% wet autotuned sound.
I know nothing about sends and returns so I'm sorry if the answer is going to be pretty step by step.

Thanks

if you are using it on a return, the original channel is probably still going to the master along with the return channel.

try clicking the button next to the returns that switches between "pre" and "post."

"post" means the signal is sent to the effect AFTER the channel's controls, so if you turn down the volume, no signal goes to the effect. "pre" means the signal is sent to the effect BEFORE the channel's controls, so you can turn down the channel's volume and still have the signal going to the effect. this allows you to get 100% wet effects.

hope that helps,
greg

that answer applies only if you are using it on a return. if you just drop Autotune onto a single channel you should be able to get 100% wet.
