it's not, just some more DJ oriented users. it's more tightly moderated and the milquetoast membership there is more easily fooled by this sort of thinly veiled scam. they're mostly just DJs, wave something blinky in their eyes and they'll do just about anything. best of luck!
S Vision, don't get me wrong, I think the whole thing wreaks of deception and bullshit. personally the line "I'm posting for a friend's contest" is insulting to anyone's intelligence and Rave is making sense. also, your inability to answer questions simply sucks, I would not want to deal with you at all, not for a contest or even a casual collaboration. no offense, I don't know you.
still, if someone wants to enter a contest, who cares? Rave put up his cautionary tales, NOBODY will miss those when they read your thread, OK Rave/

on the flipside, the scum that make money from other peoples' work through deception deserve to catch herpes simplex 27 in all their orifices. that doesn't have to mean a damn thing to you, just let it go.
or ridicule the guy right off the interweb. did you check to see how his posts were being received on other forums? surely he's done the same rounds as last time.
