When can we expect Max 4 Live ???

just wondering ... sure would come in handy now

tempted to buy a Max/MSP license but it seems silly considering that i probably don't need the whole max if i had m4l ...

Personally I hope they dont rush it. Something as complex as that will need a really long beta period time

Me too. More inclinded to buy the whole package (L8 and M4L) in one go if I know it's been fully beta'd and all works seamlessly straight off the bat.

But - it is embedded in live 8, no?... like the other instruments ? They've never been seperate downloads... Just hidden in Live waiting for an activation string, and VOILA - it will just magically appear.

So, in a way, you are probably maybe beta-testing it already.

it will be a seperate download, but you can authorize it the same way you do it with operator and so on

I heard from a product rep it could be September but they really don't know because there's SOOO much going on right now at Ableton, Live 8 development, APC, the Serato collab. needless to say the guys at Ableton have enough work in 2009 none of the will be bored.

literally, nobody knows. I think it's safe to say it will be after the summer's over.

I'm waiting max to buy live 8. only a question... is sure that every function of max still alive in this live version? Can I work with serial port, arduino, osc,etc etc like a normal version of max?
