Complex Pro creating global glitches (even when muted)

I'm experiencing global glitching in live 8 from cut up samples in complex warp pro mode in a track in arangement view. Even when the track is muted the sound is present in other tracks. There's no side-chaining, or vocoding but when the loop isn't playing the glitching disappears.
This is across all sound output/ operator and external VSTs/AUs.
Consolidating the files fixes the glitching, but is obviously a hassle.
Loading to ram does not fix the problem.

Details of my setup as follow

Ableton Live suite 8.0.2 MBP, OSX 10.5.7, 2.4ghz, 2gb RAM, Apogee Duet.
The samples are imported from ALACs, into 24bit AIFFs

Hopegully I will be able post the set with just the samples (it still causes glitching) shortly... Lousy 2 meg.
