Complex pro crashes Live 8.0.2 & won't reopen set

Post by swivet » Wed May 20, 2009 4:10 am

Just like the title says... 10 tracks, two 30 second consolidated clips of which are warped with complex pro and Live 8.0.2 crashed. Trying to recover the set when prompted results in an immediate crash after the clips try to load. I'm not really looking for any suggestions because I know it will never open again since it wasn't saved yet and there is no way to import the tracks via the browser. I just wanted to let out a bit more of my immense anger with the horrible software that is Live 8. Thank you for allowing me to rant.

Hello swivet,

Could you send me the .als set (without samples), the crashlog from
/Users/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Live.crash.log
and the Log.txt from
/User/Library/Preferences/Ableton

-> [email protected]
• Please send the files as .zip attachment.

Best,
Christian

Thanks but I hadn't yet saved the set, so the only way to recover it was from the saved undo history. But since the set just crashed constantly on startup I denied the restore from session after about 15 times and scrapped the concept.

On another note, complex pro crashes all sets constantly when transpose is adjusted - even with just a few tracks and only 1 clip warped with complex pro. I love the awesome effect you can put on vocals by transposing down in complex pro - it gives you a weird vocoded effect, but it pretty much is guaranteed to crash at some point. Any hopes for better stability with complex pro in the future?
