Clip set to repeat, but won't
Clip set to repeat, but won't
This is surely a noob question to ask...but when I launch a scene my clip won't repeat. I've set it to 'repeat' and it doesn't change anything. I read the clip view section in the manual but couldn't find anything. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Clip set to repeat, but won't
Hello,
See the manual p. 156 chapter 12.1:
The Launch Mode chooser offers a number of options for how clips behave with respect to
mouse clicks, computer keyboard actions or MIDI notes:
- Trigger: down starts the clip; up is ignored.
- Gate: down starts the clip; up stops the clip.
- Toggle: down starts the clip; up is ignored. The clip will stop on the next down.
- Repeat: As long as the mouse switch/key is held, the clip is triggered repeatedly at
the clip quantization rate.
best,
Christian

Re: Clip set to repeat, but won't
Thanks Christian, but I've read that section. No matter what setting I assign to the clip it stops after two bars.

Re: Clip set to repeat, but won't
Hello,
Please note that this is only valid for triggering the Clip "directly", either via
mouse clicks, computer keyboard actions or MIDI notes - scene launches are not causing it.

Christian

Re: Clip set to repeat, but won't
I've set the launch mode to repeat as well.
Is the issue that one clip is a three minute acapella and the other clip is a short two bar drum loop then? I want the drum loop to repeat while the acapella plays.

Re: Clip set to repeat, but won't
is "loop" turned on? i think you might be confusing the launch mode "repeat" (which it sounds like just repeatedly triggers the clip while the button is held) and "loop" which causes the clip to loop until it's stopped.
Re: Clip set to repeat, but won't
That's it. Thanks for your help. And sorry for being such a dumbassgzifcak wrote:is "loop" turned on? i think you might be confusing the launch mode "repeat" (which it sounds like just repeatedly triggers the clip while the button is held) and "loop" which causes the clip to loop until it's stopped.
