Please add (re add!!!!) a default groove shuffle setting
Althought I know that groove shuffle, is not really useful for the main users, It's a really good thing if you add the possibility to add a default groove shuffle, because every time that I add a sample I must select the groove every time.
I know that you consider this feature useless, infact the ableton 7.0. already have this feature, please read this mail.

I never touched the global-suffle-button when it was there, if that's what you mean.
But I haven't started working with grooves so much yet, so maybe, if there's a lack of default-setting, I can't say about that yet.

Yep if I well understand what you mean is that you never used groove suffle,
there are lot of people that dont use groove suffle, but if you think
that is a main feature that make your tune catchy, listen to daft punk,
pink floid and many others artist, or listen to afro sound
without suffle don't sound great.
I like ableton for the work flow, but in this last release
seem that take way like cubase or logic, beside his way: creative one.
It's really a pity, and it's really a pity that no one of ableton take care about this forum
I think that is really important interact with user, us, that bytheway we are the people who make ableton great as the programmers.
so I think that an answer at this simple question "why, and according which logic, you cut out this feature", ableton team shoud give an aswer.
thanks for the post

daft punk... maybethecourier wrote: listen to daft punk,

I don't think pink floid (sic) or tony allen used software with "groove"
just messing with you, sorry
my honest take on it: I would propose a "global" groove slot in the groove pool which could be controlled by a box in the top of the GUI as before. (individual groove parameters are accessed via the groove pool window, global amount via the box up top)
clips would default to global. users who don't want the old behavior just leave that slot empty in the groove pool, which equates in practice to 'none'
