Weird clicking issues with Massive sub/sin bass ?

Post by mlangsman » Sat May 23, 2009 9:29 am

Im trying to create a simple bass patch in massive but keep getting annoying clicking at the beginning of each note. Ive got just one oscillator as a sin pithced down low and routed to the bypass to make sure nothing else is interferring with it. My bassline is F2,E2,D2 and Ive got my sin oscillator pitched -12. In spectrum Im getting a peak at around 70Hz whch seems pretty reasonable.

Ive tried checking the oscillator phase 'restart via gate', and setting my amp envelope to trigger zero reset but these dont help. Ive noticed that if I stick an EQ8 just after massive in my live track and low pass to about 500hz it cuts out the clicks but surely as massive is generating a Sin there should only be energy at the fundamental frequency ?

any ideas ? :S :S :S
