freezing effects on audio tracks

Post by jcobb00 » Sun May 24, 2009 2:37 am

i took a look but couldn't find anything...

is it possible to freeze an audio track's effects into the audio and thus create a new sample with an altered effect?

freeze the track then just drag and drop the frozen clip(s) to a new audio track. very cool feature.

+1 on draggin frozen clips to audio tracks..

This feature alone rocked my Daw world.

Freeze the track (clips)
Drag clip (with effects and/or automation) to new track
Unfreeze original.. change the effects.. repeat
2.8ghz Quad Mac, Live 9.77, Remote25, Maschine 1, Fa-66 optical link, Samson 65a. Dog hair.. lots.

DUDE! I totally forgot you could drag frozen clips to new tracks. I should stop killing brain cells or something.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

8O no way! wish i'd known about this a long time ago. cheers for the headsup.

very cool bonus: in session view, when dragging a frozen clip which has a reverb tail to a new audio track, a 2-pass file is created, with the second pass being automatically looped. nice!
