Im freaking out! Blank message w/ Ableton icon + OK button?

hey, Im new to this, but things were working fine with my Live8 upgrade, until my external HD crashed, now when I log into Live8 i get this blank message box with a Live8 icon and an OK button!? I cannot access my Live beyond that. I also DLd the newest version with the bug fixes. Any suggestions?

Hi Jeff,

This looks like your Live installation got damaged. Please try to reinstall the application:

-- download the most recent version,
-- drag the folder in the dmg somewhere on your harddrive,
-- if os x asks you whether to replace a previous version click ok.
-- if you had Live in the dock remove it from the dock and drag the version from the folder you just installed to the dock.

I have the exact same issue! .......no reply yet either!

i wound up speaking with someone at Ableton tech support and they walked me through deleting some template files and such that helped clear up the issue.. I dont remember exactly what we did though.
