Live 8 / APC40 - Rewire - Pro Tools 8 HD

Hello, I am having a blast with my new APC40. In my tests I noticed it and Live 8 were no longer working very well together.
Pro Tools 8 crashed when I used my trusty Rewire from Live Template.
When I created a blank Pro Tools session Live opened with the familiar Rewire dialog but then mysteriously played back through my Mac's Output while the Instrument track I made for it in PT did nothing. Oh, neither did the APC. It's lights were frozen.

I will try and see what happens with Logic next. Just out of curiosity. I usually start my tracks in Live then I move them on to either Logic or PT depending on the style I am playing. So, this interoperability is important to me.

That said, I am amazed by how productive the APC and Live system can be. Not having to guess what one button is controlling at any given time is a time saver. The Device control has made automating Live's plug ins so intuitive that I find myself automating much more these days (2 days to be exact).
