Re: OT: Your favourite sandwich
When i was a kid, my grandfather, being from the south, would cure whole pigs in our basement. They'd sometimes hang for a year before cooking. Then he'd hack off a leg and cook it for most of a day. When done, we'd slice little slivers of the meat onto fresh buttermilk biscuits with only a bit of butter. Salty heavenly greatness.

Re: OT: Your favourite sandwich
a good pulled pork sandwich - pork not cooked in barbecue sauce, but properly smoked. and not like Sonny's BBQ shit, which is awful. only philistines eat that crap.
equally as good, but not quite a sandwich: Jamaican patties with a D&G soda, preferably from a place that knows how to make them right - there are frozen "authentic" prepackaged patties available in the frozen section of the grocery store, but they are disappointing. it's all in the crust....

Try adding some horseradish with the blue cheese for an extra kick if you go that way.......Tone Deft wrote:threads like these define my stance against vegetarianism.
