Live 7 (APC patch) or Line 6 Gearbox Bug?

Using Line 6 Gearbox with Live 7.016 and the APC40, I've found that whenever I manipulate any of the device controls related to Gearbox I get a nasty result. The whole audio stream pops into a latency mode of maybe 40ms, like a slap-back. This does not happen with my Waves plugs or with my EZ drummer plug. Once it switches into this mode, it won't come out and will even be present when I quit and start up again. I think I can get rid of it by deleting the track, but haven't experimented much. I can manipulate gearbox settings with the mouse, and so far it seems to be stable as long as I don't touch those APC device control knobs. Interestingly I've also had nasty latency problems with Line 6's PodFarm plug-in on another iMac. I finally removed it and got a refund. I do like Gearbox, though, for the sheer number of effects and broad utility of it.

Any thoughts?
