clicks before I even start recording/Also corrupt song file

Hi, I'm new here and need help. I'm getting intermittant clicks w/ Live 4.04 before and during recording. Have G5 1.8 w/ external fw HD, 768 MB and M-Audio Duo. That's not a buffer problem when you're not even recording/using CPU is it? Seems to be picking up noise from somewhere? FW HD? In the past, I had no clicks with GarageBand and internal HD.

Also, I got a corrupt song file popup. Why and what to do? I was playing w/ recording audio clips and adding effects. Song data is still there or at least some of it. Can I ignore issue and go on or do I delete the file?

if you make latency longer.the clips stay?

Yeah, I get clicks no matter where I set the buffer slider. Random pops whether I'm recording or not.

normally i would bet my studio thats its an M-Audio problem...but they are not worth it....

The way I've recovered corrupt files is to open Live...set your audio to no driver, open the file, then set your audio back to the driver you want, now save. Hope that works for you too.
