Tutorial Videos?

Post by ajargy » Fri May 29, 2009 5:17 pm

hey guys,

i'm new to ableton live (just got version 8) and i've watched all of the built in tutorials, but i want more! are there any good websites that have tutorial videos? i have found a bunch on youtube, but for the most part they are just videos of guys shredding hard, and i can't even figure out what they're doing.

what about streamworks audio's new tutorial videos? has anyone bought that tutorial video that can let me know if its worth purchasing? here is the link for the streamworks audio tutorial video in case you didn't catch the thread someone started about it:

http://www.streamworksaudio.com/

thanks guys! :D

Exactly!
Watch a 10 minute video on how to make a devilfish sound for the Operator and learn nothing.
Or ask Neb, he'll show the 5 steps..

If anything, use Vimeo.com

Tom Cosm has some really great tutorials and they're all free! Google that name and you'll find it no prob.

ditto, tom cosm is great. as is nick maxwell (Nickstutorials.com). nick provides in-depth sound design info from the ground up. and tom cosm is a natural teacher, too.

their separate approaches are equally terrific and more enjoyable to follow than other sources i've seen that come across as scripted.
