I must say that I don't understand Dubstep very much. Maybe soon it will hit the U.S.A. The mix is excellent and I love the sounds. Just can't get the beat. I enjoyed it very much.

thanks for ur comment, dubstep is so huge in the uk at the moment, im sure it wont be too long til it hits the U.S.A

i really enjoy producing it as theres alot of room in it which allows me to put some nice sounds in which i have recorded from different locations

Very Nice. The opening bars have a slight hint of a very late 80/early 90s LTJ Bukem sound.

Very nice sounds indeed and well produced.

On a constructive tip, maybe I'd introduce a few more cut-ups and changes. The kick confused me, very offbeat but I guess that's the vibe you're after.

Nice tune.

I must agree with dazzer. Very good mix/master and use of sounds, but the track definitly needs a little bit more variation. Thanks...

productions great but a dj would never drop it with that beat, needs to be more in line. you need to add elements to perceive a shuffle not actually have one if you know what i mean, dubstep is meant to be danced to, can you dance to that beat? don't mean to be harsh LOL.

no worries mate i try not to write dubstep that is just straight (normal in line beat) as i like it a bit more broken, works well in my live set.

Yes. The beats.

As much as I like odd meters, imo there should be a component in the beat structure that is inviting and lets you follow the track. I have a hard time to get "the big one".

I like to listen to bands like Don Caballero, Dillinger Escape Plan, Rumah Sakit, Tool and of course Meshuggah. They manage to create a complex beat with many odd meters
(not Meshuggah but within this 4/4 there´s a lot going on) and sometimes they change the "counting" up to 12 times in a song.
But after while you can follow the patterns and can get behind it.

Your sounds are nice and the production is also very good and most importantly, it has a personal, unique handwriting from you. These are the strong points.
If you would give a little more hints where the "big one" is, it should be a more in-depth listening experience.
(cut-ups used like end fills seems to be the best suggestion, so you have sound variation + the "big one"- feeling)

Sometimes I do odd-meter-dnb with full knowledge that djs will never play this stuff. So I know where you´re coming from. It´s better to try something new
instead of making it "dancefloor-compatible".
Which means "I don´t like to be confronted with more complex material".
Im sorry to say, but the dj´s I know are not good at understanding music, they are more "style-experts".

To find the right balance between writing a complex piece of music and making it more understandable that´s the goal here. Creativity is on your side.
Most of the ppl making music nowadays don´t have this important talent.

How can I download the track? I didn´t manage to get it from the soundcloud-site.

i agree Sounds great but the beat would throw a dj off but Whatever a good dj could work around it

cheers for the feedback and the comments guys, as i said i try to not stick too strongly to dj structure as it were, i find i learn alot more about music this way.

as i use alot of my own recorded sounds for my tunes (mainly for percussion) i find it makes my tracks alot more personal

im sorry you couldnt downlad it i will sort that out later so u can download all of the tracks

ive got another one ready as well but my computer is playing up at the moment

If people just stick to set rules/time signatures for their productions i personally feel that they miss out on many more possibilities.
