Hi
I was working on a song with multiple audio/midi/vsts

Then i get this error after about 4 hours of building the track

"There is not enough memory available. Please save your live set now and quit"

I managed to save my work!!!

However

I tried the following things

1)Increased the samples buffer from 384 to 1024
2) Closed all background applications with task kill
3)Installed Free ram pro.It showed 80% free ram will lives template set loaded.

Once i started loading my set/song the RAM graph on FreeRAM drops to zero and i get the same error again

My problems

1) I cannot reload the project
2) The live set .asl shows a broken icon
3) tried opening the set from browser thinking i could drag and dop indivisual tracks to a new set but on doing so live flaseh the warning "There is not enough memory available"

& the broken icon appears

4) It did not even open in Live 7(long shot)

Is there any way to for eg a notepad editor to open the .als file & disable a few vst plugin midi tacks to save on RAM

I will try booting on the OS X live 8 & loading in sometime and post my results

Please help as all my work is frozen in the project

Downloading v8.0.3 as i type

What you can do is disable a few plugins by moving them from your plugin folder to somewhere else. Ableton will not find them, not load them, and save you some ram.

However it sounds like your project has more problems than just the ram... but you could try. Good luck!
