how do you open zip files on a mac

A friend has sent me some zip files and i cant open them on my mac osx 10.3.7.
Any help ?

Unstuffit from Alladin Systems usually does it automatically. Maybe you can download free. I thought Unstuffit came with Jaguar.

Yeah, Unstuffit should do it automatically, and yeah, it comes free with OSX.

Unstuffit. If double-clicking doesn't do it automatically, drag and drop the .zip file to the Unstuffit icon...
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

Don't know if you've got this settled yet but I've had some zip trouble with the default BOM Archive Helper under 10.3.7. I picked up the free StuffIt Expander 9 and it worked fine.
