Does Ableton Live 8 Large include Operator?

Hey there everyone, so I bought Live 7.0 Large (not the suite) and it came with OPerator as part of the package. Does anyone know if it still comes with that if you buy version 8? Im upgrading my own copy but Im wondering about buying it new as I am looking to buy an additional full license for myself and my bandmate down at our studio. It just seems a bit vague in the description as to what instruments come with it.

Not looking to buy the suite as I dont really need Analog, Tension or Electric, I just want to make sure Im gonna be getting the Operator, Drum Rack, Impulse and Simpler with it.

Thx in advance for any help. I tried writing ableton help but hadn't gotten an answer so Im trying here.

I've never even heard of Live Large? Is it legit?

Yes ts the Live Basic version. If you read the description on the products page it says it's the "LARGE" version. Basically the version in between the SUITE and the LE versions.

Live is the "Large" version. It provides a comprehensive environment for writing, producing and performing music plus a basic sound set.

Nowhere is Operator listed. Most people buy the suite if they want any of the instruments because the instruments individually cost a lot.

There are always people looking to offload their individual instrument licenses on this forum and eBay, so if you just want a license of Operator you can get it if you are willing to dig around.

You got Operator with Live 7 previously due to a limited time offer.

You didn't get a reply from help because this was trivially easy information to find.

Appreciate the info despite the 'snide' tone. Ableton 7 didnt list it in the "more info" either which is why I asked, probably was a limited time offer then. But anyway, thx for the tip about people offloading their licenses on here too, Ill take a look around.

you must have bought live 7 when they were doing a specific, timed deal to have Operator come with it as a freebie. Normally it's *not* a part of the non-suite editions of live.

That said, your situation is slightly confusing, since you have operator but don't have suite. If you upgrade to ableton 8, but not the suite version of 8, I think you'll still have your older edition of operator, not the new upgraded 8 version. but hrm, sounds like a question for the abes.

Yeah I dont think the individual instruments upgraded so I figured my operator would still work. But I have a separate portable rig I built down at my rehearsal space that I was gonna buy a separate license for. Was hoping it came with it still but it must've just been good timing for a special.
