New BT - Rose of Jericho

Post by jstilger » Tue Jun 09, 2009 3:49 am

I just found this link to the new single from BT's new album.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sLRMAkc2aM

Also, he mentioned on his forum that he has developed a new program for the iphone/ipod touch that allows you to remix on the go, it should be released sometime in June. It was developed by his company Soink Architect and is called Sonifi. Sounds very cool- program $4.99 and download tracks to remix for $1.49.

Just thought I'd share.

Do you mean "friends" as in people who are somehow linked to Kevin Bacon, or are these actual friends?

I wanna know because I consider you my friend based on the new standard definition and I want to know who else we know.

DJ's who have DJ'd with him recently :)

I have physically hung out with them, and occasionally touched parts of them. So congrats on your new circle of friends, they're very glad to meet you.

Any idea when Stutter Edit becomes available? I heard it would be released along with his new album, which seems kind've odd since most of the album purchasers aren't going to give two shits about an audio plug-in.

So you would think. But Guitar Hero lead to DJ Hero and then BT will toss this out and soon 14-year-olds with no music experience will be producing better glitch edit tracks in 2 weeks than anybody who has spent years trying to perfect it.

When asked what destroyed Electronica music the answer will always be BT and Apple, the Pearl Harbor of home producer history.

Sweet, thx for tha link! I was just wondering when he's gonna put something new out. I'm excited to hear the whole album.....at the same time I was really enjoying the direction he went with TBU. Can't wait!

But, eventually it'll come round as the randomization features of such ass-apps become such commonplace noise... everyone of these dozy asshat 'producers' will have music that sounds the same, and me (and you and everyone else) who spends their time hand-crafting their glitches through chops and automation will re-see the limelite! WIN!

True but sites like Beatport are already littered with carbon copies of genre specific music, Glitch or whatever. I hope for a return to the days when music was about music and not just genre aiming. I'm sure there's great stuff out there but unfortunately it's buried with the hot sound alikes.

Have to say (having used to be quite a big BT fan) I am less and less impressed with each new release from Mr Tranceau.

This is pretty awesome IMO, I was expecting another Somnambulist or some crap.
