I recently got my APC40 and was excited to try it out. My first problem was a incompatible power adaptor, but I guess that was my own fault since I ordered it from the UK (I live in Finland).
After I got this sorted I started to experience some other problems. The main problem is weird MIDI glitches which cause the cue level, master level, sends and crossfader to behave weirdly (jumping back and forth, changing values at random). Another problem I encountered was that the crossfader didn't behave like it should, when it was physically in the center it was way off to the left, and I couldn't get it all the way to the right at all (in Ableton, not physically). These problems have mostly started to occur after having Ableton Live open for periods of over 15 minutes
I'm wondering if this is some hardware problem or if other people have experienced similar problems.
My setup is:
G4 PowerPC 1.67GHz, 1GB RAM, running OS X 10.4.11 and Ableton Live 8 (newest version)
