Grouped Tracks Fader Question
If i wanted to attenuate the volume of a song using L8's new 'select all track faders simultaneously' feature, i presume i should leave any group tracks at 100%, and only bring down the faders within the group, so as to keep the overall volume balance equal? Right?

Re: Grouped Tracks Fader Question
^^ Got it.
So, I also use Live's utility plug at the end of my signal chain in order to free up the track faders from any volume automation. But i read recently that dropping in an effects rack and automating the chain volume is a better way to go because you can bring sounds down to silence.
Although, i believe the chain volume can only bring a signal up to +6db, whereas the utility plug can go much higher than that. I know i can always go into clip view and just bring up the volume of the clip itslelf, but i was just wondering if there was a consensus on this.

Re: Grouped Tracks Fader Question
you better use an fx rack mixer for volume...
utility goes down to -35dB...
