MLK is using an APC but you can't see it, that guy with the hat is blocking the view... :o
I hear that Luis Farakhan and the nation of Islam are big fans as well....
Wasn't Malcolm X also a big pioneer?
I believe Malcolm was, but Luis wasn't.
Hence the unfortunate out come that fateful day on the stage of the Audubon Ballroom.
A lot has been made of the reasoning behind this event, the who's and the why's, could it be
down to the simple fact that there were those that where jealous of Malcolm's house rocking
PA abilities, and his deft use of the APC40 to get the "Hands in the air" ?
I guess we will never really know.
I know historically your right, but hasn't farakhan been seen using one as of late since he toned down his rhetoric.....I know the nation of Islam had some controversy a few years ago, I always thought louis's alleged affairs were just a cover-up for the truth.

You might be right.
I'm no expert on the history of US civil rights and electronic music performance.
In my mind though i've always imagined Luis to be more an SP1200 kinda guy.
I do remember once reading some place that after having had a very nice sit down lunch
with Elton John, how Luis had briefly looked into running a couple of Electribes and fruity loops, but had gone back to the
SP1200's because he felt "They had the phat booty shaking tone i need"
Any ways..
this is all irrelevant now.
We need to ask our selves..

I'd imagine him to be "old School"......
a tambour or the equivalent middle eastern drone for bass...
Tabla and dumbek for percussion.....
Synth wise......MOOG, Andromeda, jp8000 (I don't see him using soft synths)
I think he would have loved opcode studio vision.....But loyal to 2 inch tape

Judas would be a full on virus TI guy that's for sure.....
Peter and paul.....Strike me as yamaha rompler kind of chaps....

But what do I know.

Man, that BT pic is getting me hot with gear lust for what we will be seeing in 8-10 years with soft/hard hybrids for keyboards and drum machines. 8)
