I know someone who is selling this board and I can pick it up for around $300 USD, is this a great deal? I've seen the rack versions going for $350-$500 on ebay, so it seems like a good grab. Any thoughts? I looked at vintagesynth.com and they say the keyboard version for the micro Q is estimated at $1450, but this seems high.
Thanks,
Jason

Re: Waldorf Micro Q
I think it's a good deal. The vintagesynth price is way off, yeah. Honestly though you might consider the Largo plugin that just came out over the microQ. The interface on the Q is one of, if not the best on any hardware VA synth, it's really worth having in hardware form. The one on the microQ is not bad but not anything special either.
Re: Waldorf Micro Q
I used to own a MicroQ and a Q and loved them. I was sort of sad to have sold it. I just traded one of my synths for a MicroQ and got the editor for $50 from soundtower.com. It's really awesome, and I realized why I loved the MicroQ so much! I think $300 is a great deal, add $50 to that and you have the editor too which gives you quick access to all sounds etc. I'd definitely go for it, but obviously I don't know what kind of music and sound you're into.

Re: Waldorf Micro Q
Thanks for the replys. I'll have to check into the editor for it and it looks like I will be going through with the deal. From some of the samples and presets I've heard from it I think it will go nicely with the type of music I make. I've heard great things about the way it sounds, so I'm pretty excited. Thanks again.
