MPD32 transport controls 8.03/8.0x/8.04b2 Issue/Bug?

I have had some problems getting the transport bar to work correctly with my MPD32.

I now realized the following, that live 8.0X needs that the MPD32 has Midi Channel 1 selected as global, and only this, otherwise the transport control will not work. Until version 7.16 this was not a problem and I could chose whatever global channel as I wanted.

Is this a bug or have you decided that transport messages only can be send and received on Midi channel 1?

Hello there,

the bug is fixed in 8.0.3. Back in Live 7 it simply was a bug and the effect was that the transport buttons worked on every midi channel.

This is now no longer possible.

Thank you for your answer, but I am sorry to inform you that the transport buttons only works while the MPD32's Global Channel is set to Midi Channel 1 (Live Lite Present 1 on the mpd), anything other then channel 1 as a global chanel, will make the transport bar not to work (unless manually midimap the play, stop and rec button).

is this really a problem for your setup? Do you need to set the MPD to something else than the LiveLitePreset & ch.1?

Hi, i've exactly the same problem...
mpd 32's transport buttons doesn't work normaly with Live 8.0.4.
The scrolls bar buttons doesn't works when play is on, as with Live 7... no problem.
They scrolls when play is off. I've Live 8.0.4 + macosx 5.7 + 4.11, and last akaï firmmware.
I've already contacts the support team, but no solution...
Anybody has this problem ?
Is A next update can fix it ?

Hm, i am on WIN XP and everything with the transport Buttons is working so far. As soon as you got Global Channel set to 1 the Buttons will react.

It seems to be a different Prob you got.

I am not quite sure what you mean with Scroll Buttons. Are those the fast forward/Rewind Buttons? In this case you might have got the same Problem like me. The behaviour of those Buttons changed, as i wrote over here:

in earlier Versions of Live 7 and 8.01 my FF/RWD Buttons moved in 1.0.0 Steps which worked out good for me .

Now those Buttons on the MPD 32 move in 0.1.0 Steps. As your track is playing it is hard to reckognize that those buttons even do work. They do, but the Steps are to short, so it is just a very short glitch. I guess you can call this a bug in Live, since those Buttons won`t be of any help as long as your song is playing.

Last chance is to have look at Vyzex Software, if your able to change that behaviour, which i did not check yet.

Would be nice to see the Abes fix it Hope that helped you out

A Fix would be quite nice to see it working again like it should in 8.05 - but for me they do work, just the reaction is hardly reckoginzable cause of the small step size Do me favour and post the Reply Mail from Support

good to know your on it. Hope it will be fixed in 8.06. I guess 8.05 is already on the way since beta5 is expiring tomorrow.
