Hello..anyone in uk near sheffield
hello all.
i have been experimenting with DAWS for a few years. i was wondering if there was anyone around sheffield that is using live to do remixes etc etc.
I was thinking about trying to sort out some sort of "live gig" mixing dj with real musicians in a gig situation, maybe on a regular basis and with differant types of musos. i have been a pro muso for the last 20 years
i carry quality PA equipment.so a gig would be no problem.
seems to me theres too many bedroom ableton users out there.. i would like to do some realtime live jamming and gigging type things...its much more exciting making up something on the fly in front of spectators than in private...it gets the balls twitching if you know what i mean !
anyone who might be interested or knows anyone doing these things already, please let me know..im bored with the usual structured out gigs we see nowadays.
atb everyone

Hi Mate
I'm in Derby, and work in Shef. I've used ableton for 4 or so years and have done some gigs using footcontroller, guitar & some other muso's.
Not done anything for a while, but left off last wanting to do some more experimental on the fly stuff. So I'm pretty keen on starting up again!
I play guitars and ableton, got controllers etc and V-drums.
Cheers..

Re: Hello..anyone in uk near sheffield
Hi,
Living in Sheffield and trying to work out a live set.
Into bass heavy dubby electronic rhythms and noise / sound design.
Would love to get into live visual warping too, but got to figure out the audio first
Been making music for long time and have used studio gear from outboard days through to current ableton.
Would be good to meet up and share info / working practices even if we don't hit it off musically.
Let me know if your interested,
Robin

Well its been a long time..
Checking a few messages and still looking for ableton users around Sheffield area.
I think 3 years on from my original post there might be one or two more users in my areas.. ?
