Hey folks.
I would appreciate any tips or comments you have on the mix/master of a track I'm about to finalize.
This version is almost complete, except for a couple small issues:

In particular, I'm worried about the bass. I was pretty happy with the way it sounds until I played it in my car which has a decent sub. It seems that the kick wimps out a bit when it plays along with the bassline. Also, the low end of my bassline is pretty inconsistent sounding, especially as filter cutoffs and distortions are modulated (its a large, growly synth).
I'm planning on cutting the low freqs from the bassline and layering with a sine or triangle sub bass that I manually control the dynamics of (instead of relying on side chaining for the massive pumping I have). Is that a good plan?
Any other suggestions for cleaning up the mix and making the kick and bass play nice together would be greatly appreciated. This stuff is often a problem in my mixes and I use these huge basses all the time.
Thanks!

I'd bet it clips regularly.....it sounds heavily distorted but may translate well on house speakers in a club. You're right that it needs taming on the low end and perhaps a bit of compression on the mix buss. The kicks are sharing the same space as the bass so there lies your conflict as the bass has nore energy and sucks the life out of the kicks. Great song. I like it a lot.

Appreciated!
I think I'm done. I was able to clean it up a great deal. If you want the updated version, the link above has been updated. Thanks!
