Re: APC40 TIPS --- Share Your Brainz!
anyone found the ideal APC 40 carrying case yet?
Re: APC40 TIPS --- Share Your Brainz!
I need to do a lot of device controlling on my 3 sends and it seems that the APC40 has the ability to control the devices on my 8 tracks with clips in them but not the send tracks. It would be great if the right arrow on the bank select would scroll over to the send tracks! Any advice would be appreciated.
Ableton Live 7, Macbook Pro, Dual Core 2GHz, 2 GB RAM, APC40

Bump, that's what i was asking, so no controls over the return tracks via the apc ? (send knobs are routing the signal to return tracks)lazzy_8 wrote:I need to do a lot of device controlling on my 3 sends and it seems that the APC40 has the ability to control the devices on my 8 tracks with clips in them but not the send tracks. Would you give it a rest? No one is interested in a 3rd party messageboard which requires datamining in order to view a single message.Dirk Bigler wrote:http://WWW.AKAIAPC40.COM

The two best ones I've seen, although I haven't used either.djlimbs wrote:anyone found the ideal APC 40 carrying case yet?
Others have confirmed that the "Mono 365" and the "NAMBA GEAR 'BIG NAMBA' STUDIO BACKPACK"
both fit a laptop plus the APC40 with room to spare.

For more control over return tracks it might be handy to route them back to regular mixer track; it crowds the regular track count, but I'm sure worth it in some cases.

Mono EFX 365 Bag - works very well for me, it's the ultimate gig bag. Holds everything, built in cable mgmt, waterproof, industrial rubber base doesn't get scuffed or let gear get wet no matter what gets spilled, riveted straps, etc. Big ups to Mono Case on a well thought out bag.djlimbs wrote:anyone found the ideal APC 40 carrying case yet?

All I need to reach some sort of sense on this thingy, is to be able to change button state to momentary instead of toggle only. Wish it was possible without using third-party midi editing software as I'd like to keep things simple and stupid... last part, for my own sake
For lugging gear around, I can recommend the; The North Face "Big Shot" back-pack. Not exactly padded for protection of the gear, but within limits it holds MBP 17" / APC 40 / Fireface 400 / HD25 Headphones and the odd cables, PSU's and so on. All have custom made padded "pouches" to protect them.

I'll echo the simple stupid theme. I've just joined the apc40 family (after a 3week wait) and I cant get the apc to remap at all??? All I want to do is change the pans to high and low eqs for 4 channels and the scene launches to loop/start/end but it just wont recognise the apc40 at all when I try to assign em? Other than that the defaults all work fine. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
