Working on a Live (live) bass/synth rig

Post by shalomattheworkplace » Wed Jun 17, 2009 5:49 pm

hey how's everybody doin'? I am working on a live bass guitar/synth rig and have a few questions. I am plugging my bass through my computer with my interface and am using ableton to make my effects.

I would like to duplicate my input and have it go thru 2 different effects (1st is up 1200 cents, and the other out is up 1530 cents)

Also, when making distortion effects I get lots and lots of white noise and you can hear it even when playing notes. I played around with the compressors and gates and stuff but don't really know what I'm doing with them. I only have the native live effects right now and will probably keep it like that unless there are other good ones I should check out. thanks.

to get rid of the white noise, use a filter. either low pass or notch filter and cut out the freqs you don't like.

duplicating your output is not hard. just make another audio channel and tell it to monitor the same input.
