You have to use two instances of it to work that way, one as transmitter the other receiver, so Live's routing is not taken advantage of at all. It does work very well indeed and is very reasonably priced.

I emailed the developer a while ago and asked if he had any plans to build a sidechain compressor but he said 'not at present' unfortunately.

Damnit! PC only!

um, has anybody actually got these types of plugins to work consistently? every time i try and use anything with key sidechaining in live it ends up crashing it. sometimes as soon as you send a key signal to it, sometimes when you reload the set.
it doesn't seem to be just with the slim slow plugin either. i tested another one the other day with no luck. i was wondering if crunchessor worked well, as it'd be good to have a decent sidechain compressor.

Crunchessor currently crashes Live 4.1 - but both parties are looking into it I think.

For sidechaining in LIVE, i'm using db Audioware dynamic processor..
It's a DX plug in , yeah i know, but i'm using vincent Burel free dx wrapper FFX4, and it's working awesome...
you just have to use two instance of the plug in and set the sender and the receiver, ant that's it..
This plug can be found in the db audioware mastering pack which is 99 dollars

And, if like me, you're using Soundforge for audio editing/mastering, it's a nice addition to your arsenal..
Oh i forgot the wrapper :

Wow you just opened up all my Waves and DX plugins for real time use in Live!!

Holy shit! Nice!

One issue: the "chain" feature seems to be crashing me. I cant run
some Wav DXs in series or Live crashes.

But its easy enough to just run more than one instance in the rack and
series them that way

You are the man. Thanks!
