Changes from Live 8.0.4 to 8.0.5b1:
Bugfixes:
When record quantization is on, MIDI loop recording in the arranger would not behave properly [5603]
The state of the tempo nudge up/down would be saved within a Live set by mistake [5421]
Under certain conditions and depending on its settings, the Beat Repeat device would not work properly [5612]
The display representation of the Axiom Pro's endless encoders would not update when the knobs itself are turned[5627]
When having collapsed group tracks in the arranger, the 'Select All' command would not work properly and moving/copying the selection could even crash Live [5597]
Using Live as ReWire master with several ReWire slaves at the same time could not behave properly when sending/receiving MIDI to/from these ReWire slaves [5517]
Under certain conditions, drag and hover would 'unfold' the wrong track [5544]
The Auto/Range parameter of the Spectrum device could not be saved within a preset [5637]
A Live set from a Windows machine, saved on OS X 10.4.x would show a wrong icon [5579]
After grouping tracks, the APC40 would not always show the respective track states [5620]
The Looper could produce audio clicks when changing from play to overdub mode [5473]

The Looper could produce audio clicks when changing from play to overdub mode because [5473]
because why?
I'm excited. I have been waiting for this one especially when I rack loopers to do song style looping.

I miss the "Live 8 could produce audio clicks under certain conditions and with cpu consumption lower than 45%"
I AM NOT EXCITED ANYMORE.

Re: Beta of upcoming bugfix update is available: Live 8.0.5b1!
Can anyone confirm whether 'not behave properly' means stuck midi notes when recording? I've been having issues with my padKontrol and recording drums with record quantization on, sometimes the note will stick and hold a long midi note when I'm trying to record a 16th hi hat pattern. When record quantization is on, MIDI loop recording in the arranger would not behave properly [5603]

SO far I like to remember all Ableton-User's how bad other DAW's are compared to Ableton.
All of them come with bugs and I am frustrated too for every bug.
My music making has been changed and I can see me on one Level with
many professional producers in the electronic music scene.
My sounds are great now and sound very full and bright without many work.
Cubase is taking more money for less sound, and if it's a bit more stable at the moment,
it doesn't matter to me. They lack on sound, and this is the truth.
ProTools is also buggy and they should be the number one as how they see themself.
For me, is Ableton number one and Propellerheads on the second place.
Right now I want to say, THANK YOU to all Ableton's...! You gonna make it work!
...Cheers...!

No! I'll never use the Push-App Live 9 !!!

Well said. I get a bit frustrated with all the baggage that comes along with the product that I'll never want or need, but there is still enough goodness in the core program to keep me loyal.Aikindoma wrote:SO far I like to remember all Ableton-User's how bad other DAW's are compared to Ableton....
I understand that they had to make a design decision with the code to put everything in one executable. It's really amazing how well and efficient it works considering how much stuff is in there that only a few people use. It would be great if there were some way to allow you to choose the features you wanted when installing... At this point it seems odd to support a raft of controllers and extra instruments that only a fraction of people use? In any case, I definitely am glad I upgraded to V8 (if for no other reason than the >128 controller support for VSTs).
It's reminiscent of Reason, though, where they had to make a decision early on that efficiency and speed were more important than plug-in support and audio input. I think they have had great success once people came to grips with that.
Again, my particular use is 100% studio as I never play live so maybe I'm not in the center of Ableton's target market anyway.
Their support has always been top notch for me as well.
Live 9.1 <> occasionally Reason 4.0.1 <> Reaper.latest! <> Windows 7 on a bespoke Intel Q6600 <> ASUS P5E <> 8GB RAM, M-Audio Delta 2496 and that's it.
