OMG speed guitar!!

This is so crazy I just had to post it. This isn't about the music, it's about how insanely fast this guys hand is moving...at 1:55 it's a blur!

Also very fun to watch Jason Becker playing live when he's about 17 or 18. It gets better at :30 when he stops yoyo-ing while he's playing. ;)

He developed Lou Gehrig's disease shortly after this, while recording with David Lee Roth. Still making music even though completely physically disabled now. Makes me cry to think about.

Arpeggios and speed are not everything, but I sure wish I could play that well. :)

that is freaking insane! wow!

Speed most definitely does not equal good music, but its a really cool sound. I love the way Steve Vai shreds....it's like liquid pouring out of the speaker. Really psychedelic sounding to me! If I was technically capable I would be playing guitar that fast like an arpeggiator over beats all day!
