Program keeps shutting itself down

I have purchased a download of Live 8 from this site and I find that whenever I load in a vst over an midi clip within a set, it keeps shutting the program down. Why does this happen?

try downloading the beta version currently available from this forum, L8.04beta

it may contain a fix for the issue.

8.04 final has been released, best try that one now, rather than an old beta

I'm having this issue in both 8.04 and 8.05b1.
I'm suspecting Novation Automap 3.1. You're not using Automap by any chance? I find crashes and hangs are much more frequent with automapped plugins. Also, my Korg Legacy plugins seem extra prone to crashes and hangs. Using that?

Funily enough yes I am, I shall be switching it off!

I also have had this message appear:

"Failed to access the undo history file. Switching to memory-based undo. Live will not be able to recover sets after crashes anymore. Please consult www.ableton.com/support if this problem persists after rebooting."

I dont know wat to do about this and I am also constantly hearing wee clicks + pop-outs appearing on the Guru vst which Im using in one of my tracks. Change in the buffer size does not seem to make this go away.

I am not at all happy about this!

It maybe something to do with the guru program, im not sure.

I have a guru file open and whenever i go to make changes to one of the pads, this is when the clicky , poppy affect thing happens.

I'm getting pops and clicks with various native instruments and some plug ins too also when just djing with live the sound quality is terrible. Its really not a good sound, so i guess we're just waiting for the update!
