Live 8 - Playing Video clips question

I was really hoping i could play Live video clips on the fly in the clip window in version 7.
But I discovered that video would only playback if clip were already layed down in the arrangement window.

Does anyone know if this has changed in Version 8?

I'd really love to be able to in a live setting be able to drop Video Clips via the Clip window and
have them play out.
