NOW my workstation is complete (I lied before) :)

Finally picked up the MPK25 to replace my SL37 and compliment the APC40. I'm pretty impressed with the Akai controllers these days, super solid and the keys and knobs feel great. Definitely the best feeling keys I've ever used on a 25-key controller. Probably the same as the MPK49's, and easily as good (or better) than my SL37's keys too. I just need to build something to raise the APC up to the same level as the MPK now, it's about an inch shorter.

Pads are typical Akai, same as those on the MPK49 and MPC's from what I could tell. Like all pads, they need to be broken in some more since they're new, but you can adjust the velocity curve and the triggering threshold too.

thats a great less is more setup man!

I love the MPK-25's pots layout (3/3/3/3)...
(but i'd like a layout of 4x4 pads and an y/x pad !!!)

also what monitors and audio interface do you have?

And what about your mac? is it a pro or a macbook with an extra display monitor?

Its CIA ;p

Nice ! As soon as I get my APC we will be pretty similar, same mouse and everything 8O

I use one of these to raise / angle my controller, its pretty cool as it allows you to swivel the controller -

I have a feeling this is a silly question:

How come you replaced the SL for the MPK?

ya, those Akai's do look snug together there. A standard height for the units would be cool though...
