I guess the key word here would be "modeling". I mean, how many Live users want their Al Jarreau presets?
post it up.....i love Al Jarreau...any Quincy Jones presets in live 8 as well?

I do still love my tx-802.

ANd this is a bit why I didn't upgraded directly to suite.
I'm happy with live + fx +tx-802 and no native instruments in ableton

FM synthesis has such a vibe... lovely!

Nevertheless, the new operator in suite8 seems to be awesome

This is true. I guess that if you are seriously looking to use or re-create DX7 Factory Banks, your best bet is FM8.

Reads and reproduces classic FM sound programs of yesteryear such as the DX and TX series

I just loaded all of the original DX7 patches into FM8. It sounds like I would think a DX7 would sound, but I don't own one to compare.

make 128 "pro ready" drums with tight EQs!!!!!!!!

1.kicks: acoustic, electric, hybrids, originals.
2.snares n claps: acoustic, electric, hybrids, originals.

3a.creative rim shot like sounds.
3b.shakes.
3c.lfo and envelope modulated percussion hybrids. (a little or more random)

edit: when programing for production, these synth sounds are, to my experience, the strongest power against all other synths.
edit2,3: typos.
edit4: edit.

I'm curious. Can you check them against the sounds on this webpage?

Maybe they should have called it the DX6?

What does the 7 stand for?
