The bug fixes hadn't made me upgrade to 8.0.4 yet, but this will. Full of anticipation now.

EIGHTY!!! 8O Well I guess that 'splains it. lol Yeah I guess you mentioned that in your first post but for some reason it didn't click for me that it meant there were actually 80 separate instances inside there. hehe

I did a track with this, only slightly modifying some of the beats in the set provided with the rack and adding zany and madcap instrumentation:

At the beginning of that, how much is the synthdrum, and how much is other stuff layered over? That is some most excellent twistedness.

While on the one hand I keep being a little blown away about how much flexibility I'm getting out of some of these modules, there's also part of me that's wanting to keep building some more modules, just because I was having so much fun messing with all those Operators.

Like maybe a few that are more latin/african types of percussion instruments, but destroyable, of course. :)

[edit] and, really, the best thing about that track is the drums.

Do you have any more graphic photos/description of your crazy midi guitar thing? That's a pretty boss machine there.

oh, thanks. That is the "MIDI-Guitron" and it is legend on the internets :)
It has been both lauded as "waaaay cool" and reviled as a "waste of resources" to better enable "strutting" as well ss ideal for 'scaring away the vag' :)

The actual electronic parts that make it work were obtained from these wonderful people:

A descriptive yet spectacularly poor quality youtube video whose sound is too loud when it finally comes in is can be found here:

My blog describes the early stages:

all the mentions regarding it on my blog here

An attempt-at-humorous reply to my detractors on the internets is found here:

where my favorite comment there is "...you look like an older version of star wars kid"

Here is an annotated photo of it:
