Live 8 drum rack automap temp freezing w/ padKontrol

When I load a kit, or slice to midi. The rack automatically maps to my padKontrol; the pads work for couple seconds then they don't play. After a few more seconds or just me randomly banging pads in silence, they'll kick in again and the pads will work fine. Surely, that ain't right.
