Glitch Hop and Ableton

Post by MasterWok54 » Sun Jun 28, 2009 9:38 pm

I wanted to know if anyone knows how i can achieve that stuttering sound that Prefuse 73 gets from his vocal samples and his other samples. I've been trying to figure it out on my but since I'm not a seasoned Live user i have no idea how this can be done. your help is greatly appreciated.

thanks

Control+D duplicates a selection. How does that make a stuttering effect unless you offset it? Wouldn't that be more like a repeat than a stutter? or echoless delay?

Not trying to take from or add to... I'm curious. Is there something I'm missing behind this shortcut?
Maybe I just need to listen to Prefuse 73 :?

well if you select only one syllable, and duplicate it, it will stutter, just finish out the noise.
