Ableton Live on NetBook - is it usable?

Hey is anyone running Ableton on a Windows Netbook? - was considering getting some little netbook to use for gigs.

I don't use a lot of tracks or effects. As its mostly loop playback of songs i've already fully written.

What OS do those NetBooks generally use? I can't imagine they would run Win Vista.

I'd be using it with a USB Audio Interface so not concerned about the onboard soundcard being shit. I don't think you woudl get low latency witht eh onboard - but perhaps with USB.

Most use XP, some Dells will even come with Ubuntu if you ask...

I've read Vista is pretty brutal on a netbook, but Windows 7 is supposed to be much lighter - only issue being that it can take 8-12+ hours to install the OS.

I can't answer the first part of your question, but I'm curious as well.
