having no time line works good for you?... i'm glad, but it doesn't work for me, specially when you'r gigging or playing live with some one else...

if you're refering to the latest update, well..... it works just fine for me, hasn't crashed or anything and i'm really happy, but you can't hide the fact that a lot of users are struggling with it.

if it didn't work for me, I'd be pissed, then disappointed then I'd move back to Live 7. I'd also take a good look at my system and if I was really ticked I'd do a rebuild.

Ableton will make improvements, but statistically speaking there are some people for which it will never work. especially as the user base grows every year.

we'll see how I handle it when my turn comes around.

Historically Live hasn't run completely smooth for me until about rev. 9 so until then I see no point in purchasing or switching over completely until then. IMO anybody that switches over completely before rev. 5 is a dumb-dumb, no offense....to the dumb-dumbs.

.......another beta is online!

No reactions from the abes? Offcource not! we registred users are only the backbone of Ableton and we are just stupid jerks who actually supports and pays for the software, so that they can promote a NON working application on the worlds best spots!!? When will ableton buy a Yacht? Would be nice to see the hole team drinking champagne and eating lobsters in the sun!? during the rest of us are sitting and waiting for a working version of Live! Maybe you guys should release version Live 1.0 again! then you could charge even more stupid jerks like i am.......Thanks Abes! Nice summer! Let the champagne come....... 8O

*yawn*... smack smack.

I feel like I'm in ground hog's day.

Is it me or do these things go in waves? 1 week mulitple posts on PC vs. Mac. Next week multiple post on the something else... and so on............................

This week's theme seems to be Live, beta, testing, release, beta, testing, and bugfix bitchfest. What is this like the 12th thread on the subject since like Sunday?

I think all the same people are on most of em too. Can we get them consolodated? That would make it easier to find different topics.

*yawn*

Maybe I don't get it. Could it be we're secretly having a forum contest to see who can come up with the most interesting Subject Line for the same topic?
That would make sense.

This week lets all try to say the same thing in different ways.

Then next week we can switch it up and all say different things in the same way.

/observation rant thingy
carry on...

Well generally it can be a pain when something you paid doesnt work the way it should, granted. But on the other hand, I know I´m still using Live because there is no better software on the planet. The couple of crashes I´ve had were really annoying, but at the end of the day I still get more done with live than with anything else. So I still have the strong feeling that lives native power weighs much heavier on the positive side than the crashes on the negative side. Basically, I´m in love... how can you guys be so hard on her? When she´s left you will deeply regret your attitude.

Let's not forgot that every single person who either ordered an APC, received an APC, or has yet to receive their APC has to start a new post at each part of the process. I now visit the fedex.com tracking page daily because it's more entertaining than this forum.

I miss the pornbots. At least they'd post something useful.

+1. i've been upgrading since V3 and just judge my upgrade time from the forum chatter...haven't had a problem with live yet. sucks for the early adopters and beta testers (u do a great job) but i just need it to work and this works for me.

every upgrade has bought library drama's for many as an example...i've sat back and watched this like a bad remake of groundhog day without the comedy. it certainly hasn't been as bad in v8 from what i can gather

from memory i think i jumped on board at 5.05, 6.07 & 7.07. will upgrade to 8 very soon but wont install just yet.
