Happy Canada Day / Bonne fete du Canada

Post by leedsquietman » Wed Jul 01, 2009 10:33 pm

Canada, my adopted country, born 1867, celebrates Canada Day today.

Congratulations / félicitations to all fellow Canucks today ...

We have quite a few Abletoners here in the Great White North, surprised I'm the first to announce it (the rest are probably out at parties etc).

I firmly believe that being born in Canada is like winning the lottery, so Happy Canada Day to my fellow lottery winners. Now I'm off to fire up the BBQ.

Happy Canada Day! Lucky west coasters get no rain but fewer parties. I think July 1st is a bigger deal out in Ontario. Have a groggy July 2nd.

O Canada,
We'll crack a brew for thee
We'll crack a brew,
We'll drain a few,
And Thanks for inventing ho-ckey.

the only reason canada is around is because John A MacDonald got everyone drunk :D

if anyone wants to read an excellent book about canada, read Will Ferguson's "Bastards and Boneheads"

As I'm emigrating to Canada in three weeks, I celebrated Canada Day myself with beers. Seems normal.

My only most recent memories of Canada are it being cold as shit and getting deported.
