Slice to New MIDI Track Simpler -> Sampler
I've just got my hands on SAMPLER for Live 8 and I love the fact that when you chop a sample using the "Slice to New MIDI Track" feature, you can change each SIMPLER for a SAMPLER for more powerful editing options. Does anyone know if there is any kind of "select all" so that it exchanges all SIMPLER modules for SAMPLERS rather than having to change each one on each pad individually? It would save a lot of time if there is!
Many Thanks!

Re: Slice to New MIDI Track Simpler -> Sampler
That's what I've been doing so far. When I find a sample I want to chop, I right click the clip, select "Slice to New MIDI Track", LIve then slices the sample onto a new track with each slice in a Simpler. I can then right click on each Simpler and at the bottom of the menu, there is an option that says "Simpler -> Sampler". When I select that, the Simpler is replaced by a Sampler. I can't seem to find an option that will do it for all the slices at once, I have to click on each sample slice, right click on each Simpler and do it one by one.
Any ideas, anyone?

Re: Slice to New MIDI Track Simpler -> Sampler
easiest way is to create a custom slice preset..
create a new drumrack,
drop an instance of sampler on one of the cells,
now drag this drumrack to: library/defaults/slicing
next time you slice to new midi track you can choose the preset from the slicing preset menu..
if you like/use the library slicing presets that come with live you can also load them,
change that one simpler to sampler,
then save the preset as..
this way you don't have to do all the macro mapping again plus you can choose between simpler or sampler presets..
cheers..

the new "Samplification" Live Pack has a few new Slicing presets that exclusively use Sampler in a Drum Rack - this should save you the time to convert each Simpler manually.
Best,
