How can I set the default swing to 'none' in Live 8?
...just started loading some warped songs into live 8 and my songs are swinging when i don't want them to.
in live <7 the clips could be set to swing 8 or swing 16 and would not swing unless i adjusted the global swing, but now in live 8 there is no more global swing, so my songs are swinging like a 1970's house party.
i would really like to make this go away.
any ideas?

Hey man, good to see you on here.
I haven't run into that one myself, but have a suggestion or two. First, erase 'swing' from the vocabulary, they use the term 'groove' now instead. Second, on clip view, look on the left side of the clip window (under the track name and drop down to choose the color). There's a setting there for Groove, it ought to be on None.
Hope that helps!

yea... see the problem is that i will then have to re-save all of my thousands of clip packs...
is there a way to do it without resaving them all?

I haven't upgraded yet, but is the global groove STILL a setting option in the Record/Warp/Launch dialog in the preferences??
Maybe this will help. Auto should use the individual clip setting, but there is a straight option in Live 7.

I'm sure this is doable, from what I remember it's a setting in preferences somewhere, like the default warping scheme for clips is beats till you change it.

adjust the global amount to 0% in the top of the groove pool?
Re: How can I set the default swing to 'none' in Live 8?
I'm also having this problem. I set the "current set's groove pool" to zero, but clips keep grooving.
Arghh, please make them stop!
I'm on live 8 on a mac snow leopard.

I was just having this problem in Live 8 and setting the groove pool to 0% did it for me. Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, the Groove's Quantize parameter can affect clips even when your Amount is set to 0%. I can't confirm it? I thought I was having trouble with that myself though.
