hey guys. forgive me if this is a repost but my search terms are a bit too general.
Basically i am interested in staging multiple midi events on my APC to control parameters in Effectrix.
I would like to map the bottom row of pads to do two things:
1) turn effectrix on while depressed and turn effectrix off when released
2) turn the pattern control to a specific pattern
The idea here is that each pad will trigger a different pattern in effectrix and also act as a momentary-on for the device. I can get away with using macro controls to make this work for one pad... but i can't make the other 7 pads control the same on/off value.
I played around with a trial copy of Bome's Midi Translator and got some decent results, but if i can do it natively in Live7, i'd be happy to cut out the middle-man here.
Also... all you Effectrix users... am i just stupid for even trying this idea? Do you have a better way to go about this? I was under the impression that the "run on midi note" checkbox would do exactly this. but when i have that checked, i can select the patterns but the play head does not move, ever. it only moves when the box is unchecked. What am i doing wrong?
Even this would be fine if i could get effectrix to shut off (or have it's mixer go dry) when i let go of the note. Seems i can't have my cake and eat it too...
any ideas?

Re: Best course of action for multiple midi events in Effectrix
Ok this is looking more like an effectrix support issue now. I guess "run on midi note" is what i've been wanting to do this whole time but i can't figure out how to make the pattern run.
Any advice on this?
Like i said... the midi notes trigger the pattern change just fine... but "run on midi note" does not make the pattern run.

I assume you have set up an extra midi track with the "midi to" set to the track that has the effectrix on it. then armed both tracks and played, yes?

Thanks, i got it working now! It was that, plus the fact that i'm using an Oxygen8.. i had to click up a few octaves to find the keys that will work.
Thanks for your help. I never knew you could send midi to an audio track before. =)
