Left locator issue

Imagine you are zoomed in close up in the arrangement and you wanna move the locators into view to loop what you are working on. You just grab the right edge and move the right locator into view. This doesnt work for the left locator in ableton 8.
in 7 it works fine, you just grab the edge and pull the left locator into view.
but in 8 you have to keep dragging and dragging until it arrives from its location. or you have to zoom all the way out and drag it in. why has this been changed? is there a work around? thanks

just select a time span which is in view, then use the 'loop selection' command
